Requirements
- Minimum 2 years at an upscale or high-volume casual restaurant
- Comfortable in a high volume and fast-pace environment
- Experience with managing a team of 15+
- Must be proactive, organized and detail-oriented, eager to learn, grow and teach
- Strong communication skills, including Microsoft Office
- Spanish speaking and Mexican cuisine knowledge strongly preferred
- Flexible availability including nights, holidays and weekends a must
About the Job
Summary of Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure service runs smoothly and guest expectations are exceeded
- Full knowledge and control of restaurant ambience and guest experience, by being customer centric
- Hiring, training, overseeing, evaluating and scheduling FOH staff to provide excellent results, being mindful of budgets
- Coordinate with BOH
- Knowledge of OpenTable and Toast a plus
- Complete daily opening and closing checklist, cash and tip reconciliation and reporting
- Tracking results, meeting objectives and constantly suggesting ways to improve operations and increase business
- Inventory and maintenance management
- Maintaining high standard of hygiene, health and safety, as per DOB standards
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for up to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours
